Latest: Reception 1.5.0
Changelog
Every release of the Reception iOS SDK. Updating is optional and never breaks existing apps.
How to update
Copy the prompt and paste it into Claude Code, Cursor or Codex in your app’s repository. It updates the package to 1.5.0, refreshes any paywall file and builds.
1.5.0
Automations: events from your app that open the chat.
- Reception.shared.track(_:opensChat:) reports a closed paywall, a cancelled purchase or your own events for dashboard automations.
- The chat opens once the App Store sheet has closed or a re-shown paywall has settled, so the message never waits unread.
- Devices report whether the person pays, so automations can skip or target subscribers.
1.4.1
The live chat connection keeps retrying after drops.
- The live connection no longer stops for good after eight drops over a session; the chat could show “Connecting” without retrying.
- Opening the chat, sending a message or the network coming back reconnects at once.
1.4.0
Paywall details: source, products, prices and trials.
- Paywalls report where they are built: RevenueCat, Superwall, Adapty or your own code.
- Each product reports its price, renewal period and free trial.
- Every RevenueCat offering is listed, with or without a paywall.
- New drop-in file for Adapty’s Paywall Builder.
1.3.0
The chat designer starts from your app’s own design.
- Your app reports the appearance it sets in code; the designer starts from it.
- Bundled images are reported as present, never uploaded.
1.2.0
Silent push registration. Composer fix on iOS 26.
- Push registration for replies never shows its own permission prompt.
- The composer stays inside an embedded chat on iOS 26.
- CocoaPods installs work the same.
1.1.1
Avatar fix.
- Replies without a known teammate show no empty avatar.
1.1.0
Custom welcome image and close button. Faster team photos.
- Use your own image as the welcome icon or close button. Hide the title or welcome text.
- Team photos and names appear instantly after a restart.
- Push replies work in the simulator.
1.0.0
First release.
- Native support chat: photos, push, unread badges, review and paywall cards, identity verification, 48 languages.
